Craft your soundtrack. Embrace the chaos.
The cubes have gone chaotic once again! We're excited to announce the release of CMD v8.2 - Chaos Cubed, launching alongside Minecraft's 26.2 "Chaos Cubed" Drop. This update not only brings full compatibility with the latest Minecraft version, but also adds a brand-new collection of legendary community-requested music discs and a handful of quality-of-life improvements.
So, grab your crafting table and prepare your jukebox—it's time to add a little chaos to your world.

🎵 6 New Music Discs
The centrepiece of v8.2 is a collection of six brand-new craftable music discs, inspired by some of the most iconic songs in Minecraft's fan-made music scene.
🏰 The Fallen Kingdom Saga
Thanks to a request from Nut3iiA, we're adding four beloved tracks from the legendary collaboration between CaptainSparklez and TryHardNinja:
Dragonhearted
Find the Pieces
Rising Kingdom
Take Back the Night
These songs have become a part of Minecraft history, and we're thrilled to finally bring them into CMD.
💎 More Community Favourites
The update also includes two more fan-favourite additions:
You Can Find It - TryHardNinja
Don't Mine At Night - Bebop Vox
✨ A Disc with a Secret…
Among the six new additions, one stands out from the rest.
You Can Find It doesn't just take the form of a regular music disc—in CMD, it appears as the iconic Amulet from Minecraft: Story Mode. But its magic doesn't stop there…
💀 It also functions as a Totem of Undying.
Whether you're looking for a great soundtrack or a second chance after an unfortunate Creeper encounter, the Amulet has you covered.
🔨 Craft, Collect, and Explore
All six new discs in the Chaos Cubed update are fully craftable, making them accessible to every survival player without relying on luck alone.
And if you're ever unsure how to obtain a disc, CMD now includes an even easier way to get help:
📖 New /trigger Command
We've added a dedicated /trigger command that allows players to quickly open the CMD In-Game Wiki. Whether you're checking crafting recipes or learning where a particular disc can be found, the information you need is now just a command away.
And don't forget about the Collector enchantment, introduced in the previous update! Collector continues to help music hunters by improving the collection of mob-dropped discs and reducing clutter in automated storage systems.
🛠️ Polish & Bug Fixes
As always, a new CMD update isn't complete without a little cleanup behind the scenes.
🎨 Disc Texture Improvements
Every single music disc texture has been carefully reviewed to remove unwanted transparent pixels that could interfere with the beautiful 3D item rendering.
🖥️ A Fresh Look for the In-Game Wiki
The In-Game Wiki has also received a visual upgrade with a new, dedicated CMD logo designed specifically for Minecraft's interface. The previous version didn't scale very well in-game, so we created a cleaner, sharper version that's much easier to read.
And of course, v8.2 also includes the usual round of compatibility updates and bug fixes to keep everything running smoothly on the latest Minecraft version.
🎙️ CMD: Off The Record Gets a Small Update
The main spotlight may be on Chaos Cubed, but our addon pack CMD: Off The Record isn't being left behind!
Alongside v8.2, we're also releasing a small update for Off The Record, bringing it up to date with the latest version of CMD and ensuring everything continues to work smoothly together. While this isn't a major content expansion, it's part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the entire CMD ecosystem polished and maintained.
As always, we're keeping an eye on community feedback and ideas for the future of Off The Record, and we're excited to continue expanding it alongside the main project.
💬 Thank You to the Community
This update wouldn't have been possible without the continued support and ideas from the CMD community.
A special thanks goes to Nut3iiA, whose suggestions helped shape much of this update's soundtrack. Community requests continue to be one of the biggest inspirations behind CMD, and we love seeing which songs players want to hear next.
🌸 Looking Ahead…
While Chaos Cubed embraces Minecraft's latest update, we're already hard at work on what's coming next.
Our next planned release, Spring Encounter, may be arriving a little late for spring—but it's bringing some exciting firsts for CMD. Expect a new collection inspired by a beloved monster-catching franchise, along with something we've never included before: the first-ever fan-made music track to be added to Custom Music Discs.
As always, we won't spoil everything just yet… but we think trainers and music lovers alike will have something to look forward to. 👀
Thank you for continuing to support Custom Music Discs. Every download, suggestion, bug report, and message helps shape the future of the project.
Now, update your pack, fire up your jukebox, and embrace the chaos. 🎶⚡
